CLASSICAL crossover group Il Divo and West End and TV star Martine McCutcheon will perform at the Last Night of the Proms event which rounds off this summer's Lytham Festival.

This year's festival will run from Monday, July 16 to Sunday, July 22 on Lytham Green and the headliners are to be revealed every day this week.

The traditional climax to the festival will see the Heart of England Orchestra accompanying the international quartet who have sold more than 30 million records worldwide.

Festival director Peter Taylor said: “We are thrilled to be bringing Il Divo to Lytham Festival as they are superstars who have millions of fans around the world.

“We wanted something different for this year’s Last Night of the Proms and we believe Il Divo, who have enjoyed global success since breaking onto the scene more than 10 years ago, will do just that.

"To have Martine McCutcheon joining them on stage is perfect. Martine has a wonderful voice and is well-loved by the British public."
