GIDDY UP….Kylie Minogue is back in the saddle and the pint-size pop princess rides into Lancashire for an exclusive mid-summer bash in the unusual surroundings of Haydock Park racecourse.

Kylie, who will perform at Haydock Park on Saturday, June 20 as part of the Jockey Club’s Evening At The Races series of summer shows, said: “I’m so excited to be performing at this show.

“I have an amazing band and fabulous dancers and we can’t wait to share my hits with you in a beautiful summer setting.

“Being from a horse city like Melbourne, I’ll be sure to have a flutter on the horses myself.”

Kylie, renowned for her spectacular live shows, shot to fame with I Should Be So Lucky, later clocking up huge chart hits with Spinning Around and Can’t Get You Out Of My Head.

Two weeks later, the course welcomes Madness, who stop off at Haydock for their Grandslam Madness tour.

Suggs and the Nutty Boys will be in action on July 3, with those monster tunes Baggy Trousers, Driving in My Car and Our House, sure to be on the play list.

Later this summer, Kaiser Chiefs – led by BBC1’s The Voice coach Ricky Wilson – will be playing at the course on August 7.

Kaiser Chiefs first shot to recognition with break out hit I Predict a Riot, followed by hits Oh My God and Ruby.

They released their latest LP, Education, Education, Education and War last year.

All three summer concerts will follow an evening of racing.

Jason Fildes, Haydock Park General manager, who comes from the Ribble Valley, said: “Music nights at Haydock Park are renowned for being a fabulous night out and we’re delighted to have an international superstar, Kylie, to kick off the summer of music in 2015.

“Kylie is a hugely popular artist with legions of followers worldwide so it’ll be great to see her spectacular live show at Haydock Park for the very first time.

“There will also be a superb evening of racing so on the night racegoers will be able to enjoy top quality racing followed by a performance from a global superstar.

“There has been a tremendous demand for tickets for two of the ‘must be there’ events of the summer.”

Tickets are priced starting at £30 adults/£15 child (under 17) for Kaiser Chiefs, and £35/£17.50 child (Under 17) for Kylie.
