TICKETS are still available for award-winning folk artist Phil Beer who comes to Hyndburn in a fortnight.
Phil, one half of the duo Show of Hands, will be performing a solo show at Mill House Masonic Hall, Clayton-le-Moors on Friday, February 13.
Phil’s musical career dates back to the mid 70s and he spent seven years as part of the Albion Band as well as touring with Mike Oldfield.
He formed Show of Hands with long-time friend Steve Knightley in 1991 and the duo have subsequently released 19 albums, won various BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and sold out the Royal Albert Hall.
Phil is a hugely popular ambassador for acoustic roots music. A dazzling instrumentalist, he is best known as a top flight fiddler. But he also plays Spanish and tenor guitar, slide, viola, mandolin and South American cuatro, as well as contributing rich vocals.
