Simply Sauvignon Blanc, £6.23, Tesco.
This New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc is not as subtle as some but it has got a good crisp taste, pleasant gooseberry flavour and a sensible 12 per cent alcohol level.
There’s also of course a price which is simply around £2 below what others will cost you.
