Crunchy Plus Chicken and pizza bar
Railway Road,
Darwen

Lancashire Telegraph review by Simone Yates from June 23 2011

I WAS looking for something quick and easy to grab to eat and stumbled upon Crunchy Plus.

The smell of fried chicken directed me towards the takeaway entrance before I had a chance to choose anywhere else to eat.

The menu is varied and is excellent value for money.

Although there are only a few varities of pizza, the chicken is what most people would go in for.

I ordered a chicken fillet burger meal.

It was fresh and, with a side order of chips, the portion was filling.

The chips were topped with Crunchy’s famous red salt and a drink was also thrown in — great value at just £3.49.

This relatively new takeaway is popular in the town and even has its own Facebook page, the ‘Crunchy Chicken Appreciation Society’.

The site’s 329 fans boast that 15 chicken wings for £2 is the best offer and the family box for £12 is as tempting.

I’m not a fan just yet and don’t know whether it’s a good thing, but I will be joining up the next time I log on!
