I HAD almost forgotten how good this popular Indian takeaway was having not been a customer for several years.
And the first question I asked myself whilst tucking into my chicken rogan josh was ‘why haven’t we been here for so long?!’ Popadoms were for starters with mango chutney sauce and chopped onions - they were crispy and fresh, just how I like them.
To accompany my main chicken dish, a portion of pilau rice and a garlic naan were the perfect side dishes.
The curry was cooked to perfection with the right amount of seasoning to make every spoonful mouthwatering.
The rice was fluffy and well-cooked and the bread was delicious, piping hot and freshly cooked.
The bill was just over £10 and the portions are generous — enough to share if you want, but needless to say I managed my dish alone!
What made me even more pleased was being able to pay for a takeaway on my cash card — a quick and easy way that adds the good customer service at Bilash.
Another thing I like is that the food is cooked in front of you whilst you are waiting for your meal the chefs in their whites are busy in the clean, open kitchen.
Bilash is now back on my takeaway radar and next time I won’t be leaving it as long before I return.
