Lancashire Telegraph review by Becky Lees from June 4, 2011.
A SUNDAY afternoon spent at the Kettledrum Inn was the perfect end to a busy weekend for myself and my family.
On arrival we were warmly welcomed by local residents and bar staff before making our way to the restaurant.
The dining area itself was small but segregated from the pub which served the purpose of separating the 'eaters' from the 'drinkers'.
Three of us opted for the traditional Sunday roast lunch for a reasonable price of £5.95 each.
Cooked to perfection and drizzled with gravy, the succulent beef pleased both the 'rare' and 'well-done' meat eaters.
A generous amount of roast potatoes was served boasting a golden crisp colour while maintaining a fluffy soft centre.
It has to be said, the Kettledrum's roast gained a thumbs up from all three very full eaters.
The remaining diners chose the traditional fish and chips.
Served with a slither of oozing lemon and green peas, the fish and chips proved to be another satisfying delight.
Much to our disappointment we had no room for dessert after the generous sized meals.
Instead we chose to enjoy a drink in the pub while the sun disappeared over the rolling hills.
