BACUP Social Enterprise is recruiting 16 volunteers to receive free training in cooking, food and hygiene safety and first aid.
The scheme is part of the Cook and Eat Project starting in January. A spokesman for the project said: “We wish to recruit volunteers who have an interest in cooking, promoting the use of fresh foodstuffs, and helping individuals and families develop their skills and knowledge of cooking and seasonal foods.”
The project is being run by a partnership between the Maden Community and Children’s Centre and the Health Improvement Service of Lancashire County Council and will use Change4life resources.
Anyone interested in taking part should call Ian Taylor on 07817522095, or email info@produceforthetable.com.
