Chorley Citizen review by Tyrone Marshall from November 7, 2007.

The Yarrow Bridge is a modern family pub and restaurant that offers fairly good food at very reasonable prices.

Part of the ever-expanding Spirit Group of pubs, it is around a mile from Chorley town centre and has a large car park.

Inside, it is spacious, airy and comfortable and certainly caters for families, with plenty of facilities to keep children entertained.

The menu features all the usual pub classics as well as a range of healthy and vegetarian alternatives.

Most of the meals on the menu are available at two for £10 all day and every day, including the 8oz rump steak, which my partner had, and the hickory chicken, a chicken fillet coated with cheese, bacon and barbecue sauce.

We had come across the pub more by luck than planning, when looking for somewhere to get a reasonably priced lunch after a morning out one weekend.

Considering the competitive prices, the food was surprisingly impressive. Served promptly and friendly, it was piping hot and the portions were more than reasonable.

The steak was cooked perfectly as requested, while the chicken was served with an accompaniment of garlic ciabatta.

A birthday party group that were near us had some problems with some of the items being off the menu, but we had no such concerns.

The range of drinks were fairly standard for a pub, and there was only an average range of wines, if you were looking for a bottle to go with your meal.

On the whole, the Yarrowbridge offers a friendly, family environment for a well-priced meal.
