12:40pm Tuesday 29th November 2011 in Reviews and reports
Chorley town centre was packed with revellers as Jonjo took to the stage for Chorley Christmas lights switch-on.
An estimated 4,000 people screamed with delight when local lad and X Factor favourite Jonjo Kerr joined Corrie heart-throb Ryan Thomas to do the honours with the help of Mayor of Chorley Councillor Pat Case and Father Christmas.
Festivities continue on Saturday December 10 when there will be a Christmas market in Fazakerley Street and every Saturday brass bands, choirs, musicians will entertain shoppers in entertainment zones at Market Walk, the Covered Market and St Mary’s Arch on Market Street.
