What's on: Edwina Currie, Mellor, September 8
FORMER MP Edwina Currie is guest of honour at this year’s Ladies who Lunch event at Stanley House in Mellor on September 8.
Edwina will entertains guests with anecdotes from her career, as well as sharing excerpts from her book; A Parliamentary Affair.
The luncheon is the second of three ladies-only events to be hosted at the venue this year, and will be held in aid of local children’s charity, Miles of Smiles.
Over 200 guests will dine on a two-course menu devised by executive head chef Steve Williams.
Stanley House’s sales and marketing manager, Wendy Hope, said: “Ladies who Lunch has firmly cemented itself as the event to attend for ladies across Lancashire and beyond.
“Edwina joins what is growing to be a long line of first class hosts, including the likes of Roger Black, Lesley Garrett and Anton du Beke, who have all entertained our guests throughout the years.”
* Ladies Who Lunch featuring Edwina Currie is at Stanley House in Mellor on September 8. Tickets are £45 per person including two-course lunch plus coffee. For further information, or to make your reservation please call today on 01254 769200
