Review: London 2012: the Official Video Game of the Olympic Games, PS3, £32.99
It’s no surprise to see this summer’s sporting gravy train hit the console shelves.
This game gives gamers the chance to create their very own moments of sporting history and fame.
More than 30 events lie in wait for you but, disappointingly, it will feel like perhaps a quarter of that, such is the repetition in gameplay mechanics.
OK, the official licensing brings its own benefits from a presentation perspective, but when it comes down to pushing yourself for one more go to grab the gold, you might find yourself not that bothered.
In fact, everything about it smacks of mediocrity - something we’re unlikely to level against the real Olympics.
