Alexa Chung crowned queen of style

Alexa Chung has been crowned 2009's queen of style by fashion barometer Vogue.com.

The Vogue website's UK editorial team have compiled a "best dressed" list for this year, and the British TV star, who has won over American style pundits while carving out a presenting career in the US, was No 1.

Audrey Tautou was in second place and Sex And The City's Sarah Jessica Parker was third.

X Factor judges Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue both made it into the Top 10, with Cheryl clinching fourth place and Dannii in fifth.

Harry Potter actress Emma Watson was sixth while stylish Sienna Miller was seventh.

Actresses Diane Kruger and Freida Pinto came eighth and ninth, ahead of supermodel and fashion icon Kate Moss who was in 10th place.

Lady Gaga, known for her mind-boggling futuristic outfits, came out at No 11 in the list.

Other celebs who got a mention included Angelina Jolie, Anna Friel and Beth Ditto.
