Former Hollyoaks actor Stuart Manning has been booted out of the I'm a Celebrity jungle.

Manning, who played teacher Russ Owen in the Channel 4 soap, was voted out of the camp on Wednesday night.

There had been rumours of a budding romance with former Mis-Teeq singer Sabrina Washington, who left the show on Tuesday but, like her, Manning remained tight-lipped.

"She's a lovely girl," he repeated when hosts Ant and Dec asked whether he fancied her.

"I'm going to speak to everyone when they come out. They are all my friends and we have had a great time in there," he added.

Manning, who came bottom in the public vote, said he was disappointed to leave before Friday's final but was looking forward to spending time with his family and friends.

He tipped chef Gino D'Acampo to win the show.

"I think he's an amazing guy. He's just superb," he said.

Another contestant is due to be voted out of the show on Thursday, so that there are three left to battle for the crown in Friday's finale.
