“Our main ethos is that they may well be many communities but we are just one Blackburn, and we hope to create a shared vision and sense of belonging for all communities.”

The group’s overriding intention is to create a space for understanding about different cultures and traditions.

Last year the group hosted celebrations to mark the Chinese New Year.

The group also organised events as part of inter-faith week and is hoping to highlight the similarities between people from different backgrounds.

The festival will take place at Your Support Your Choice opposite the Library, 9A Town Hall Street, Blackburn.
