THE nominees for this year’s Asian Wedding Awards have been announced.

Winners will be revealed on December 8 at the Manchester Marriott Victoria & Albert Hotel. The AWE Asian Wedding Awards are now in their second year. They reward creativity and inspiration among the Asian wedding industry and acknowledge suppliers, businesses and individuals across the country for making the wedding dreams of brides and grooms become reality.

This year’s awards have 19 categories, covering all aspects of an Asian wedding.

Monir Ali, photographer and founder of the Asian Wedding Awards, said: “It is great to see hard work, creativity and customer service from within the Asian wedding industry being recognised on a platform like the awards, not only by the brides and grooms who use their services but also by their peers as these awards are run by those who run wedding businesses. We are looking forward to seeing Northcote At The Rovers at the awards.”

Juel Khan, wedding planner and co-organiser of the awards, said: “This is our second year. Our nominations have increased and the level of quality we have seen is mind-blowing.

“We are looking forward to a great event.”

Among the Lancashire finalists are Northcote At The Rovers — billed “the North West’s premier venue for everything from parties to banquets and charity dinners”.

Kirsty Holroyd, sales manager of Northcote At The Rovers, said: “We are so excited about the awards. Everyone through to this stage should be very proud of their achievements and we cannot wait to see the results ceremony.”

Blackburn-based fashion retailer Poshaak is named in two categories — bridalwear designer of the year and groomwear designer of the year.
