THE first Pendle One Act Festival comes to East Lancashire this month.
Performances will be followed by prizes that feature four prestigious societies from the north west competing for six major theatre titles.
Running over two nights, trophies for best actor, best actress, best director, best production, best moment of theatre and the audience award are all up for grabs.
Colne Dramatic Society will perform Something In The Air by John Turley and Holden2urhats will present Party by Tom Basden on Friday, April 19.
On Saturday, April 20, Harlequins Theatre Group will take to the stage with Dialogue by Stewart Boston and The Garrick will present Visitor From New York by Neil Simon.
Festival Secretary, Beverly McKiernan, said: “The One Act format has a reputation for being a perfect training ground for new actors, directors and even writers, and so the POAF team felt it was important to raise its profile and organise the Festival.”
