FARMLAND rose in value by an average of 34 per cent in the year to March 2008 new figures show.
Prices have already risen by 12 per cent in the first three months of 2008 the largest quarterly increase on record.
The average value of all agricultural land is now £4,621 per acre, up from £3,459 a year ago, while good arable land can make £6,000 an acre.
