ROSSENDALE United boss Derek Egan is confident his side can chalk up a fourth straight league win when they host struggling Bridlington Town at Dark Lane tomorrow.
The Stags enjoyed a successful Easter period, beating Woodley Sports 1-0, followed by a thumping 3-1 victory over Mossley on Bank Holiday Monday.
With six games remaining, Egan believes his side are capable of matching last season's ninth-placed finish.
"It's nice for us to put three wins together, and we've been getting the rub of the green too, which is not like us!" said Egan.
"We finished ninth last season and we're in 10th at the moment.
"It's only right that we try and achieve that, before we look to try and kick on again next season.
"But this is a hard league, and it's getting harder all the time."
The Stags welcome back centre-back Kevin Brown and forward Tom Williams, while defender Andy Watson returns from suspension.
Centre-back Jonathan Smith is free to play for CLITHEROE for the rest of the season after having his contract terminated by Fleetwood.
The giant defender, dismissed in Monday's 1-0 defeat to Bradford PA, has been a rock-steady presence in the heart of the Blues rearguard.
And ahead of tomorrow's clash with bottom club Radcliffe Borough at Shawbridge, manager Neil Reynolds said: "It's excellent for us that Jonathan is staying.
"He's been a colossus for us. He's played in 11 games and we've only lost three of them.
"I'm not saying that's all down to him, but he's such a dominant figure for us. We're delighted to have him."
Clitheroe will make a late check on whether to field Gary Stopforth against Radcliffe, after the midfielder needed seven stitches to his head following a clash against Lancaster.
Striker Danny Toronczak may also be a doubt, as his wife is expecting their baby within the next couple of days. Sam Heap will come into the reckoning.
CHORLEY manager Tony Hesketh has swooped to sign defender Paul Sparrow ahead of the Magpies' home clash with Wakefield tomorrow.
The former Lancaster City stopper has been without a club since he left Kendal Town several months ago, but Hesketh believes his extra experience could prove valuable during the run-in, as Chorley look to address a worrying slump of five straight defeats.
"I was going to bring Paul in for the start of next season but I've decided to do it now because I think his experience will help us," said Hesketh.
"He's a player with a vast amount of experience at this level, who has played for me before, and I'm delighted to have got him on board."
With one eye on next week's Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy final tie with Southport, Hesketh is planning to make several changes to his side for the visit of Wakefield.
