Ewood shop is a treasure trove

I was in a favourite shop of mine the other day, the Ewood Dress Agency, run by the delightful Sandra and her daughter Wendy, and was rather amazed to find it has been there 31 years.

I think I'm still wearing stuff I bought way back then.

I've got some of my favourite clothes from there.

I like re-hash shops. They are never boring and are a bit like treasure hunts - you are never quite sure what gem you might find.

Must say I missed out on Saturday though, as the lady next to me pipped me to the post and bought just what I was looking for.

I did honestly try to be nice to her about it, but it was pretty difficult.

She then actually tried it on, posing just to show me how good she looked in it.

Well there is just so much rubbing your nose in it one can take, but I think I almost managed a smile.

can i just say, that in all the ten years i have been purchasing in this delightful shop,i was in awe at the very first time i decided to actually sell some clothes of my grandchilds, when,in amazement, was declined a hefty 80% of the clothes(all designer....all expensive...all in season).
In all due credit,it is at the owners discretion to sell these clothes which i respect.
what i wasn`t expecting, was the manner upon i was exposed to(very rude, very uncoming, very uninviting).I have had many a happy hour shopping at this establishment which i will not be(and many a friend of mine)`happy shopping`AGAIN!!! disappointment to say the least.......
If i give any advice...it would be to the owner to say PLEASE....be more polite, inviting, and forthcoming...you owe it to your past, present and future customers.....regard

I have to agree with you Sam as i had the same experience as you years ago in the childrens department. If you look around there really isn't much in the way of designer goods and it is a shame because some of us shoppers don't want Next or the usual high street names but something a little specail and the same applies to the ladies clothing too.
If i want designer clothing for myself i go to Victoria Louise in Oswaldtwistle where you get real service and also the one in Clitheroe, Anna Louise, which i adore.
