TODAY we take a look at East Lancashire enjoying a slower pace of life,in years gone by.
Trams, boats and bicycles were the main transport for work before the arrival of the combustion engine more than a century ago.
And as four wheel vehicles took over the roads, people took to the old ways of travel for relaxation and leisure.
