THE WAY WE WERE
WE’RE turning the clock back 60 years today to take a peek at Furthergate Junior School, Blackburn. This is a class photograph from 1953/54 and has been sent in by Ken Pickering, who wonders where is old school chums are today.
The school stood at the top of Harwood Street and most of the pupils came from the Furthergate and Intack areas.
Ken, who is on the left of the back row, remembers the head as a Mr Powers. He said: “I’d love to know where everyone is today and what they are doing.”
