AN EAST Lancashire hotel has been snapped up by a hotel giant.
Mytton Fold hotel and golf complex in Langho has joined the Best Western group, the largest hotel chain in the world.
Bosses at the hotel, in Whalley Road, announced the tie-up last month as they unveiled a new multi-million pound extension.
But they stressed Mytton Fold would remain independently-run and the deal would only be used to lure new guests.
Best Western director Keith Pope said: "Mytton Fold is a fantastic hotel with a great personality and is the perfect addition to our portfolio.
We are very excited about welcoming them into our group and bringing more business."
Barbara Bryan, from Mytton Fold, said: "We want to be able to promote the hotel on a global scale to bring more tourism into the hotel, Blackburn and the area, without losing our independence, and joining Best Western allows us to do that."
