A SUPERMARKET which 'doesn't do Black Friday' has slashed its fuel prices — on Black Friday.
Asda has announced that it will be dropping the price of fuel by up to two pence per litre, bringing a new national price cap of 116.7ppl on unleaded and 117.7ppl on diesel.
The supermarket does not get involved in the Black Friday deals — but is hoping to pull in some customers by cutting prices at the petrol pumps/
Sean Clarke, Asda’s Chief Executive, said: “In October, the Asda Income Tracker showed that the average UK household saw a further squeeze on discretionary income.
"With Christmas round the corner, we know our customers are busy people who want to spend time with family and friends.
"So, we’ve made the simple move to lower the cost of unleaded and diesel by 2ppl across the country.”
