THE team behind Pendle’s Employer of the Year are celebrating being finalists in a prestigious national apprenticeship award.

TrainingStation, who were named Employer of the Year at last year’s Pendle Business Awards and have just been named one of four finalists in the Training Provider Sub Contractor of the Year category at the annual Apprenticeships 4 England Training Provider and Apprentice Employer Awards.

The Apprenticeships 4 England awards reward training providers who work in collaboration with employers to meet their business needs, help apprentices to achieve their potential and address the training needs of the wider community.

TrainingStation director Lisa Whiteoak said: “We are committed to working with local schools, employers and politicians to promote the benefits of apprenticeships.

“Our dedicated training assessors work closely with both young people and businesses across Pendle to ensure they get the best out of apprenticeships.

“The continual support given to apprentices by our training assessors helps them to succeed in their qualification and career and this has been a key factor in us being shortlisted for this national award.”

Lindsay McCurdy, from Apprenticeships 4 England, said: “All of the entries were of an extremely high quality and with such a large number, the competition is fierce, making the achievement of all the finalists more impressive.”

TrainingStation specialises in apprenticeships in business administration, customer service, management, retail, travel, sales and team leading. It works with a wide range of local employers, including Daisy Plc and Althams Travel, to provide apprenticeships with excellent earning and promotion opportunities.

The TrainingStation team was at this year’s Pendle Jobs Fair at Colne Municipal Hall on Friday (20).

The Apprenticeships 4 England awards ceremony will be on March 3.
