FAST-growing East Lancashire business Euro Garages has signed a major deal with coffee chain giant Starbucks.

The contract will see the Darwen-based petrol forecourt operator open up to 30 drive-through coffee stores nationwide in partnership with the American firm.

The first outlet opened in Deeside, North Wales, on Friday and future coffee houses are planned for Shrewsbury and Runcorn in the next month. Seven further sites will open in the next year, before all 30 are up and running by 2013.

Euro Garages founder Mohsin Issa said: “It’s essential for us to work with strong brands who share our commitment to innovation.

“Our partnership with Starbucks will complement the offer on our existing estate, as well as enable us to accelerate our growth with new stand alone drive-through across the UK.”

Starbucks UK managing director Darcy Willson-Rymer added: “Euro Garages’ commitment to customer service and innovation makes them the right partner for us.”

The partnership between Blackburn Road-based Euro Garages and Starbucks follows the US chain’s first UK drive-through coffee store in Cardiff in 2008.
