A SWITCHED-on firm in Pendle is gunning for glory in a national energy management competition.

Businesswise Solutions, based in Turner Road on the Lomeshaye Industrial Estate, is up for recognition at The Energy Live Consultancy Awards (TELCAs).

Frazer Durris, managing director, said: “To be recognised in such highly respected industry awards is a fantastic accolade.

“The TELCAs are recognised as a credible, national industry endorsement of the success of your business model, profiling businesses who demonstrate a commitment to excellence, innovation and ethical business and we are proud to be one of them.”

The East Lancashire outfit will learn its fate at an awards dinner in London later this month.

Mr Durris added: “Our team of specialist energy consultants work tirelessly to deliver smarter energy procurement and management strategies for a wealth of corporate and mid-market clients and this is testament to the fantastic job they do each day.

“Businesswise has invested a great deal of time and money into its energy division over the last five years; developing supplier relationships, utilising leading industry software and building customer trust through a three-tier customer service and account management structure.

“All these things, coupled with a full suite of value added services, seals our commitment to helping clients reduce indirect spend and increase profitability within their businesses.”

Away from the office, Mr Durris will line up for the Trailblaster 12, an off-road relay race, taking place in Burnley’s Towneley Park on June 21, where competitors complete five-kilometre legs before handing over the baton to a colleague.

He will be taking part with team-mate Nick Gaskell, of Gaskell Auto Bodies, with both raising money for Pendleside Hospice.
