After trying to defend this country at every opportunity I have to say that the past few weeks have beeen tough.
It is not the people that are making me miserable but the place.
I genuinely think that if it wasn't for the people I would have left a long time ago.

The worst thing about living here is the weather.
Now, before you switch off and decide this is going to be a rant against the great British weather - it is not.
I generally like the weather for most of the year and don't have much to say about it.
But recently it has depressed the hell out of me.
You can't walk ten yards without getting soaked and if you are not getting wet, the cold wind is making your life a misery.
And this is no ordinary wind and rain. This is the type that depresses. There is no let up whatsoever.
But then I was cheered up after having a conversation with an elderly gentleman in Morrisons who proceeded to tell me that in his day they didn't even have a WC in the house and had to go outside to do the business.
"Going outside in this weather like this? You must have been mad."
"Well, we didn't have a choice, it was either that or the pot."
So with the weather so bad and nothing better to do I found myself flicking through the latest edition of the Argos Christmas catalogue.
With Christmas clashing with Eid this year maybe I could get away with buying one present instead of two.
I didn't find anything of any use but did see things I never knew existed.
For instance there is now a chair to play your games in.
It is...well... called The gaming chair'. It is essentially a chair but with a couple of defining features.
It has some holes for drinks and then some sockets to hook up your console to, all for a cool £100.
Having decided that gaming is nearly as big a waste of time as reading a Friday column - a digital frame caught my attention.
I wasn't exactly sure how this worked but it allowed you to change the pictures in the frame when you got bored with them.
Mind you, it did come in all sorts of colours and designs.
