Spliff, cannabis, or whatever, is the drug that's on everybody's lips.
Or perhaps I should rephrase that, at the moment it's the smoke that doesn't incur the wrath of the law.
For years I have been of the thinking that maybe drugs should be decriminalised and then sold only in licensed drug stores or chemists, where the quality and strength could be properly controlled.

That would do away with the pushers and criminal element that trade on the vulnerable young.
I've never taken drugs, but that's, I suppose, because i don't like the thought of not being in control.
Talking of control, perhaps they could regain it regarding alcohol by putting the retail sale back to the off licences' and restricting hours.

Couldn't agree more and restricting the pubs and clubs too.

Plenty of spliff and 'e' changed hands in your clubs . . . .
funnily enough, the same clubs that preyed on vulnerable young by plying them with booze till they needed an ambulance.
'Scuse me if I find a small flaw in the argument - you are suggesting the mindless drones that work in pubs selling alcohol to "yoof" should also sell them drugs?

I read your column in full in the LT Today. You said that the children of the poor should only be given an education if they are talented.
Coming from a woman with no talent whatsoever it certainly made me laugh Margo.
You didn't say what should happen to those children you deem to have no talent. What do you think should happen to them ?

Nosty,
Education is clearly not available for everyone. Those who get a good education are lucky, it doesn't mean they are Bright. Well qualified but their lives are often rather dull.
Entrepaneurs are Just addicted to getting the cash. There is nothing special about an Entrepaneur. They may have delusions of Grandeur but in the end they lose whatever they have gained.
Teachers are those who gave up learning.
