    JOHN Crabtree, 59, of George Street, Accrington, was fined £50, with £100 costs, by Blackburn magistrates after pleading guilty to stealing four cans of lager from B and M Bargains. read more

    A CREATIVE Writing Group is to be formed next month at Oswaldtwistle Civic Arts Centre, aiming for local writers to get together to produce new work, including plays. Young children are welcome to go along with parents. Sessions will cost £2 per week, with tea and coffee. read more
