ST GEORGE'S Day will be celebrated in great style tomorrow with a day of activities for all the family. Stories featuring dragons and knights will be read in the library at 10am and 11am. Teatro Unfortunato will perform street theatre, with audience participation, between 11am and 3pm. There's face painting from 11am to 2pm. In the afternoon, children can search shop windows for clues in a mystery quiz, (entry forms from St Andrews Bookshop) while the Barbers Shop will offer spray-on St George's Cross hair designs (don't worry, it will wash out) and Rainbow Silks has silk painting sessions for children between 10am and midday and 2pm and 4pm. Pubs and shops will provide a range of food, drink and displays along the theme of the day and coffees and teas will be available in the Baptist Church all day. Go along to the Fire Station to get your car washed for charity.

MEANWHILE the Roald Dahl Museum will offer tours of the building for local residents (the parish of Gt Missenden). The galleries won't be finished but it should be interesting to see anyway. This is free and there is no need to book but people will be asked where they live. At 1pm there will be a free performance in the courtyard by local teenagers who have rewritten the St George's Day story especially for the occasion. There is no need to book for this.

CRAFT Show season is starting up and there will be a show today, tomorrow and Sunday at Hyde End, opening times are 10am to 5pm.
