GERTRUDE (TRUDY) STEVENSON (nee Riley) On Friday, July 6, 2012, at home after a long illness patiently borne, with her beloved husband Harry by her side. Trudy aged 86 years, precious mother of Jennifer and Jeanette, mother in law to Mervyn, loving gran of Jason, Jonathan, Jemma and Julie, and a much loved great gran. A service and committal will take place at Pleasington Crematorium on Monday, July 16 at 2.30pm. Reposing in the Chapel of Rest, Scales Funeral Home, Darwen Street, Blackburn. Family flowers only please.Donations may be made to The East Lancs Hospice, Park Lee Road, Blackburn. All enquiries to Scales Funeral Service 01254 265911. Your painful days are over Your restless nights have passed. God took you in his arms and whispered peace at last. Till we meet again all my love Harry We didn't say goodbye Mum, but perhaps that's just as well. We never could have said goodbye to the one we loved so well. She was a Mum so very rare, content in her home and always there. On earth she toiled, in heaven she rests, God bless you Mum you were the best.
