CARL STARKIE On Monday, February 14, 2011, Carl passed away peacefully in hospital aged 81 years, formerly of Great Harwood. Loving husband of Joan, devoted father of Michelle, father in law of Phil, grandfather of Carla, brother of Agnes and uncle to Wesley. Reposing in the Birtwistle Funeral Home Queen Street, Great Harwood where flowers will be received. The funeral service will be held at St. Bartholomews Church on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 2.00 pm prior to cremation at Accrington Crematorium. My dad was a wonderful person who touched the lives of many. He never spoke badly of anyone and I never heard a bad word spoken of him. He really was the best dad in the world and I love him with all my heart. He passed away with his family beside him, we will never forget you. God bless you dad ****
