PHILIP JOHN BANKS On 16th July 2018, peacefully at home. Philip aged 49 years. Philip will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Funeral service at Pleasington Crematorium on Wednesday, 1st August at 12.15 p.m. No dark colours please. Sign in to add a tributePhil and I sat together during Geography lessons at Darwen Moorland. Not that we paid too much attention as he usually had me in stiches with his sense of humour or distracted with the back and forth of an argument over whether the Cybermen were better than the Daleks. Our Dr Who obsession led to a memorable trip to Blackpool to the exhibition on the prom, where the debate raged on.
We lost touch as boys do and both moved abroad only to be reconnected by the miracle of face tube. His zany humour was still strong and we both had developed too much facial hair over the years! I just wish we'd met up again, for one more argument about the Daleks.
