JOAN STANDRING On 9th August 2017 peacefully in hospital, Joan aged 85 years, formerly of Eachill Gardens, Rishton. The devoted wife of the late Harry and the late Barrie, loving mum of Susan and step mother of Pamela, dear mother-in-law of Peter, a cherished grandma and great grandma. Joan worked for many years in Quality Control at Oxo, Great Harwood. In her spare time she enjoyed doing handy crafts at home. Joan loved meeting up with friends for a catch up and a good natter. In her younger years, she enjoyed holidays in the UK taking in the sights and in later life she enjoyed holidays abroad where she could relax in the sushine. Above all, Joan loved all children, especially her grandchildren and always looked forward to family visits. The service to celebrate Joan's life will take place on Tuesday 22nd August 2017 at Pleasington Crematorium at 2.15pm.
