PHILIP (Phil) DUCKWORTH Peacefully at home on Monday, 16th Novem- ber 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Philip aged 58 years. Devoted husband of Janet, much loved dad of Rachael and Hannah, dear father-in-law of Bryn and Dave, cherished grandad of Lucas, Eva and Amelie also a loving son-in-law of Audrey and Vic. A service in St Peter’s Church, Darwen on Friday, 27th November at 11 a.m, will be followed by cremation at Pleasington. Family flowers only please, but if desired donations may be sent for Bleakholt Animal Sanc- tuary. c/o Ainsworth’s Funeral Service, Church Bank Street, Darwen. BB3 3HA. Tel 01254 873290

I met Phil several times in the early days of ELM at a time when I was a struggling financially as a single parent. He was a lovely guy, always willing to listen and offer advice and support. He was forthright with a good sense of humour and helped me through a very stressful time in my life. Those days are behind me now but I will always be thankful for the good work done by Phil and the ELM team. So sorry to hear of his passing. Gone too soon. My condolences to his family.
