BRADLEY Dack is keen for Rovers to develop a winning habit and believes there is still more to come from Tony Mowbray’s men this season.

Dack has been Rovers’ stand-out player of late, earning a nomination for the League One player of the month for October and nettings a goal and five assists so far this month.

The 23-year-old knows all too well how far momentum can carry a team in the third tier having inspired a Gillingham promotion push in 2015/16 when he was crowned the league’s player of the year despite the Gills ultimately falling short of a top six finish.

And after two wins in the space of four days extending an unbeaten league run to six, Dack is hoping Mowbray’s men can continue their impressive form.

“It’s about getting in to a winning habit and once you have got in to it it’s hard to get out of it,” said Dack.

“Shrewsbury started the season well and are top of the league and haven’t got out of that habit.

“I played in a team at Gillingham where we couldn’t stop winning but if you get out of that, particularly in this league where there are no easy teams to play against, it can be tough.

“If you look at the team we’ve got, the players, I don’t think you have seen the best of us. We know there’s still more to come.”

Rovers have at least one game in hand on most of the sides above them after seeing all three of games scheduled for international weekends postponed.

But with a seven league games between now and the turn of the year, Dack says there is a determination within the squad to put together a winning run.

He added: “In the dressing room a lot of people have mentioned that. We’ve got to start climbing the league.

“It’s nice not to have an international break until March so it’s four months of just total football.

“We can get on with our work on the training ground and that’s only going to benefit us.”

It is certainly tight at the top of the Rovers goalscoring charts, with Dack, along with Dominic Samuel, Joe Nuttall and Charlie Mulgrew all locked on five.

Marcus Antonsson is leading the way with seven and Dack says sharing the goals around can be important for any team.

“I think there’s a bit of friendly competition,” he said. “If you think that one player isn’t having the best of days then you have someone else in this squad who can come on or is on the pitch at the time that can go and score goals.”

“Danny and Dom have come off the bench and I don’t think anyone else in the league will have that strength in depth.”
