PAUL Lambert has made one change for his first home game in charge of Blackburn Rovers.

Chris Taylor impressed after he came on for the injured Tom Lawrence in the 2-1 triumph at Preston North End last Saturday that got Lambert’s Rovers reign off to a perfect start.

And Taylor has been rewarded with a place in what is an otherwise unchanged starting line-up.

Lawrence, who has hardly trained this week, takes his place on a bench that also includes new loan signing Doneil Henry and fit-again striker Chris Brown, who has not featured in a Rovers matchday squad since the Capital One Cup home loss to Shrewsbury Town in the first week of the season.

There is no place among the substitutes for goalkeeper David Raya, centre-back Matt Kilgallon and striker Fode Koita.

Rovers are unbeaten in four matches but their visitors are in even better form having lost only one of their last 13 games.

Portugal international striker Lucas Joao came off the bench to score two goals in the Owls’ late 3-1 home win over Huddersfield Town last Saturday.

But the highly rated Joao has to settle for a place on a bench which also includes on-loan Norwich City striker Gary Hooper.

Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal has made two changes, though, with Liam Palmer and Modou Sougou taking the places of Jack Hunt and former Burnley winger Ross Wallace.

Rovers: Steele, Henley, Duffy, Hanley, Olsson, Marshall, Akpan, Evans, Conway, Taylor, Rhodes. Subs: Eastwood, Spurr, Delfouneso, Brown, Henry, Lawrence, Guthrie.

Sheffield Wednesday: Westwood, Palmer, Lees, Loovens, Pudil, Sougou, Lee, Semedo, Helan, Forestieri, Nuhiu. Subs: Wildsmith, McGugan, Hooper, Joao, Dielna, Lopez, Wallace.
