Clarets in the chase for Fryatt

BURNLEY are believed to be among a clutch of clubs chasing out-of-contract Hull City striker Matty Fryatt.

The 28-year-old has been offered new terms by Tigers boss Steve Bruce, after he helped to fire them to the FA Cup final.

But the options are open for the former Leicester man, with the Clarets understood to be one of a number of teams chasing his signature.

Hull remain in negotiations with Fryatt, and are not anticipating a decision to be made on his future for at least another week.

Sheffield Wednesday, where he spent two months on loan last season, are also in the hunt.

Fryatt – a £1.2million signing from Leicester in 2011 – scored six goals for Hull following the end of his loan spell in December.

A good player, but in my opinion - not what we need urgently. As a squad player a good addition - For the start of the season - however we need a tall player who can hold the ball up for Ings to play off- Sam vokes would be ideal - but as he will not be available until around december we need an urgent replacement - Nikola Zigic is maybe someone I would go for who is out of contract soon and being offered a fraction of what he was on before - he may jump at the chance of one last pop at the premier league and would offer Danny a great partner to play off up front until Sam returns - Fryatt - is maybe a squad player to replace Danny with - not Sam

Bit of a waste of time that isn't it. Why invest in something that you know won't achieve the results you want. Maybe this is preparations for life back in the Championship already?

Invest heavily (if you can persuade anyone to accept the facilities you have) and risk the club or accept the inevitable that you're going back down with a decimated, dejected squad.

Future turmoil beckon..............

Tell me Sunshine what turmoil have we had thus far?

A record number of points

Promotion to the Premier League (Remember the place where your 15000 missing fans are)

The most potent attacking partnership

The best defence

23 points clear of Trampburn Rovers

Our winning at Fleawood effectively sealed our promotion and cost you the play-offs

Oh yes please, I would love some more turmoil like this - PMSL, your banter is as poor as the team you support.
