Marzocco had settle for second in a Derby trial at Epsom but he should be on the mark in the Casco EBF Stallions Cocked Hat Stakes at Goodwood.

The 11-furlong heat, also known as the Predominate, is the last recognised pointer for the blue riband event but as only Observational is still in the Epsom running, the result is unlikely to have any effect on the Derby reckoning.

That said, Marzocco performed well enough on the Downs last month in what was his seasonal return for John Gosden, who has a big chance in the Derby with Western Hymn.

Winner of a Kempton maiden at the backend of last year, Marzocco was pitched into the Derby Trial at the Classic track and did well to go down by just a head to Our Channel after coming from well off the pace.

The son of Kitten's Joy might even have edged in front in a few more strides and should be given plenty of credit as that was just his second run on what is a notoriously circuit.

Marzocco can land this Listed prize before taking the next step up the ladder at Royal Ascot.

Watchable made quite a splash on his first start for David O'Meara and can build on that with another victory in the IBA Stakes.

Trained by Tobias Cole last term, he finished third in a decent maiden in October and subsequently transferred to the care of O'Meara, who sent him to Ayr in search of his maiden success.

Watchable proved up to the task that day as he beat an odds-on favourite in fine style - a fact which has not gone unnoticed by the handicapper.

An initial mark of 95 could not really be described as lenient, but Watchable has only had two runs to date and could be open to any amount of improvement.

Kasb turned in a remarkable performance on his first racecourse outing to win at Newbury and is one to follow in the EBF Stallions Youngsters Conditions Stakes at Pontefract.

He raced very green throughout, becoming detached from the main group before getting to grips with matters a furlong out and flying home.

This represents a nice stepping stone for better targets in due course.

Iftaar can star in the PHS Waterlogic Classified Stakes at Haydock after notching a confidence-boosting success at Brighton recently.

Four juvenile outings yielded little joy for Charlie Hills' charge but gelded over the winter, Iftaar looked a much improved performer when reappearing earlier this month.

He powered clear at the finish over six furlongs and looks the kind of horse who could make up into a decent sprint handicapper this term.

At Musselburgh, Danzki can make the long trip north pay off in the Central Taxis Maiden Stakes.

Trained by Gay Kelleway in Newmarket, the three-year-old hit the bar on his seasonal return, finishing a two-length second to Lord Of The Nile at Catterick.

He did not help himself by hanging in behind and is worth another try at this level before switching to handicaps.

Glorious Star is the choice in Yarmouth's Gold And Silver Exchange Handicap, while Run On Sterling should go well in the Network Veka "National Hunt" Novices' Hurdle at Towcester.
