Owls fear Rovers may recall Leon Best

SHEFFIELD Wednesday boss Stuart Gray fears Leon Best’s fine form could lead Blackburn Rovers to recalling him.

Best has scored four goals in 10 games since signing for the Owls on loan – including their winner against Brighton & Hove Albion in midweek.

Gray said: “Now my only fear is that he gets recalled by Blackburn.”

Best is expected to feature when the Owls host Watford in the Championship tomorrow.

Leon Best has the ability to help Rovers push for promotion next season. It's a pity he has the reputation of being a de-stabilising influence. He needs a strong manager to keep him in line and focussed on playing for his team - which seems to be happening at Sheffield Wednesday. I would not write him off from being part of the Rovers squad next season.

Personally I have written him off , sealed the envelope and posted him, air mail, to Pune with his contract in his hand.

Leave him there;

They play Watford, Forrest and Ipswich in the next few weeks, and us I might add, but he won't be able to play against us.

If we have another injury crisis we might be that desperate, but it would be ridiculous to think of either Rhodes or Gestede, who both put a shift in, loosing their place to Best who doesn't give a toss about playing for Blackburn.
