Can Burnley catch Leicester City and finish the season as champions?

IT will be hard but yes, as we are now only three points behind them, we can overtake Leicester and win the Championship title.

Realistically we have to beat them on Saturday but with Dean Marney suspended for two games, it all depends on Kieran Trippier being fit.

If he is, Chris Baird can play in midfield and we are capable of beating them.

Leicester’s game in hand is a difficult one against Wigan. We are in excellent form, we are a model of consistency and are playing some of the best football I have ever seen us play.

And in the last two games we have been without two key players and have collected maximum points.

Following Tuesday night’s results, Leicester are well and truly in our sights.

They now come to Turf Moor on the back of two draws, so could well be feeling a bit of pressure which they haven't really had up to now.

If they lose to us and their game in hand at Wigan, we could see ourselves steal a march at the top.

Saturday will be a tough test for us though, more so now we've lost Dean Marney to suspension.

Well that is potentially 90 minutes away from becoming reality isn't it?

If Leicester hadn’t equalised so late on Tuesday I would say we will catch them this Saturday. We could be without three of our best players over the next couple of games with Dean Marney now suspended for two matches so the task of keeping up with the leaders becomes more difficult.

But this group of players are capable of getting results without our best players as was proved this week.

If the Clarets win on Saturday I believe we will finish top of the pile.
