AN appeal has been made for the whereabouts of a sex offender with links to Lancashire wanted on recall to prison.

Keith Russel, also known as Trevor Bryne, went missing from his address in Liverpool on Friday, breaching his licence conditions after recently being moved from Blackburn.

The 39-year-old was convicted of two sexual offences in 1993 and 1994 in Dublin and has previous convictions for violent offences.

Russel has links to Lancashire as well as Liverpool, Glasgow and the Republic of Ireland.

He was last seen at the Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool at 2.45pm on Friday.

He is described as a white male, 5ft11, of a slim build with short, brown receding hair and has an Irish accent.

Detective Constable Peter Denson said: “Russell is a prolific and violent offender. Anybody who sees him is urged not to approach him, but to contact police straight away.”
