DRIVERS travelling between Haslingden and the M66 have been warned of delays after a car crash on the A56.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash on A56 Edenfield Bypass, causing congestion on A56 to A680 Blackburn Road.

All lanes have since been re-opened with delays estimated at 15 minutes.

Last night, a police spokesman said they had received reports of five vehicles stuck in snow on Grane Road. 

A Lancashire County Council gritter had to attend to clear the road and motorists were advised to avoid taking the route.
