TWO men have been arrested after a 47-year-old man was knocked unconscious outside a pub.
The incident happened outside the Lord Nelson in Manchester Road, Nelson at around 2.40am.
The victim, from Nelson, was taken to hospital where he later regained consciousness.
A 30-year-old man and a 28-year-old man have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Police said no weapons were involved.
Inspector John Fryer said: "One victim was found knocked unconscious outside the pub.
"Two offenders are currently in custody but enquiries are at an early stage."
