AN EXTRA 11 metres looks set to be added to the floodlights at Turf Moor to meet new TV guidelines.
Plans have been submitted to the borough council for an increase in height of two floodlight towers, at either end of the Harry Potts Way side of the ground.

Clive Holt, a club director, said in a planning statement: “We need to go from 33-metres high to 44-metres high, with a tilted headframe to reduce light spill. This is required to meet the latest TV lighting requirement and football regulations.”
Meanwhile work has started on new club offices, including a first floor extension from the existing function rooms in the Bob Lord Stand. The project is due to be completed in October.
New turnstiles will be installed and access to the stand for supporters using this entrance should remain unaffected.
