AN investigation has begun after a car ended up on its roof just outside Blackburn town centre earlier today.
The silver Citroen Xsara flipped over after police believe it may have been involved in a collision with a Ford Transit van, just after 7am, at the junction of Lower Audley Street, Darwen Street and Grimshaw Park.

Fire crews from Blackburn station were alerted as it was believed the Citroen driver may have been trapped in the vehicle.
But a Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the man had been released by the time crews made the short trip to the scene from Byrom Street.
The Citroen driver is said to have only suffered minor injuries and he did not require hospital treatment. The road was reopened a short time later.
Police traced the driver of the Ford Transit van, however, no action was taken against him.
