AN Accrington band are hoping to take the music world by storm when they release their debut EP later this month.
Indie band Tourist Attractions have seen their tracks played on several radio stations, including the BBC Introducing Lancashire, and have performed countless gigs since forming last May.
The lads – vocalist and guitarist Daniel Walsh, 18, drummer Oliver Bradshaw, guitarist Rory Gilsenan and bass player and backing singer Connor Synnott, all 17, – have been approached by venues across the North West, and are hoping their EP will catapult them to even bigger success.
The band recorded Dusk with Manchester-based producers, Sugar House Music, after releasing their singles Silhouette and Heartless Man.
St Christopher’s Sixth Form student Connor, who lives off Queens Road West in Accrington, said: “We all had an incentive to do something with the time that we spent doing nothing, all having a motivation to create.
“We class our music as indie rock, or even indie dance rock if truth is to be said.
“We do gig constantly around the North West, playing a mixture of our own individual music and some classics given the Tourist Attractions makeover. And we have a good and growing following.”
The EP will be sold on iTunes, at gigs, and will be available through music streaming websites such as Spotify.
