John Sokolowski, 26, of St Peter Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty stealing bacon worth £45 from Thoroughgoods.

He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £1,650 criminal court charge, £15 victim charge, £85 costs and £7.45 compensation.
