* HARTLEPOOL won an FA Cup reprieve in the High Court yesterday and
have been cleared for the biggest pay-day in their history at Sheffield
United today.
The English second-division side, wound up with debts of #263,607 in
London on Wednesday, earned a short-term stay of execution from Mr
Justice Lindsay in a private hearing lasting over an hour. Now they can
collect at least #50,000 from a 19,000 crowd at the fourth-round tie at
Bramall Lane.
